Contact Randolph County Records Offices

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm live custody, release anyone, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or supply a booking photo. Contact the agency or court that created the record.

Where to Ask About Randolph County Records

Use the office that holds the record, and include the person, date range, agency, and case or booking number if known. The county FOIA page lists the county request route and form.

For a Sheriff booking record or photo, use the county FOIA route and identify the Sheriff as the likely custodian. Ask for electronic delivery and ask for the image as a separate item. The county page does not publish a distinct Sheriff records-unit phone or a separate photo fee. Ask for an estimate before chargeable reproduction.

Which Route Fits the Question?

  • For a current county custody check, open the Sheriff Current Inmate Listing and its embedded roster.
  • For a booking report or city incident, contact Chester, Sparta, or Red Bud Police, depending on the arresting agency.
  • For an active-warrant question, call the Sheriff and ask for safe verification instructions. For the case docket, contact the Circuit Clerk or use the county-linked Judici search.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use IDOC Offender Search or IDOC FOIA.
  • For a federal or immigration custody question, use the BOP locator or ICE locator when the person fits that system.

City Police and Records Contacts

City custody and county custody are not the same. Ask the city police department for the incident record, and ask the Sheriff for a county booking record when a transfer occurred.
